Professional Bi-Lingual Exchange provides 24-hour bilingual telephone answering service. In the late fifties, the company's founder was working for Pacific Bell as a telephone operator. Pacific Bell did not allow operators to speak Spanish to the calling parties at that time and she saw a great need for service to the Latin Community.

She began the business in 1959 while also working at a hospital in the Hollywood area. She would work eight hours at the hospital then drive to her own office and work graveyard. Those days are a long way behind us now. We started with original telephone company 557 switchboards (cordboards). Now we are using a computer driven TASS (telephone answering service system) with integrated voice mail. We pride ourselves on being very flexible and providing a range of service.
